French-Canadian racer Alex Tagliani is rejoining with MacDonald Motorsports team for this weekend's Able Body Labor 200, the NASCAR Nationwide show on the 1 mile oval of Phoenix International Raceway. Tagliani's second time to compete in NASCAR's second-highest touring series inside the #81 Dodge Charger, he's poised to make the most of his first Nationwide Series race on an oval.

Having made his maiden NASCAR Nationwide series voyage in Montreal's NAPA Auto Parts 200 race in August of this year, Alex Tagliani finished 26th following late race scramble on Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

While the #81 car of Tagliani is guaranteed a starting spot for the Able Body Labor 200 based on a top 35 position in NASCAR Nationwide Series owner points, another Canadian driver will have to put more at stake at Phoenix International Raceway during qualifying. Daryl Harr, driving a Rick Ware Racing Chevrolet sponsored by Fuel-doctor.com will have to beat 3 of the 46 cars to race on the one-mile oval Saturday.

Back to Tagliani, through he has been wetting his feet in NASCAR waters, it's worth noting that his open wheel career is set to get rolling again in 2010. The 2009 Indy 500 has signed a long-term contract in August to run for the all-new FAZZT Race Team co-owned by Jason Priestley.
