Weekend Racing Weather Forecast: Sept 24th-26th, 2010

Dover, Delaware
Dover International Speedway
NASCAR Nationwide Series, NASCAR Sprint Cup

Friday: Sunny with partial clouding. Hot temperatures of 32 degrees Celsius will bake the Dover Speedway concrete during NASCAR Sprint Cup afternoon qualifying.
Saturday: High temperatures from Friday remain on Saturday with 29 degree Celsius (humidly rated at 33 degrees) presiding over the NASCAR Nationwide Series qualifying and main event. Winds from the west will be intense at 20-30 kilometers per hour.
Sunday: Daily high temperatures will be the lowest throughout the Dover International Speedway race weekend at 22 degrees Celsius. Overcast skies expected through running of NASCAR Sprint Cup 400-mile feature race.

Saturday: Practice, qualifying and race all on the same day. Ambient temperature expected to reach 37 degrees Celsius during practice (just short of the daily-high at 39 degrees). Racing at night, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series should be running in more pleasent mid-20s.

Friday: Cloudy with peaks of sun. Temperature to reach high of 32 degrees Celsius.
Saturday: Rain with thunderstorms slated in day's forecast. Temperature remains above 30 degrees as a high.
Sunday: Thunderstorms are very likely certifying a wet track for the night race. Though temperatures for the race are expected to be lower than the daily high of 31 degree Celsius, this means a drop only to the high 20s.

Saturday: Up to one millimeter of rain is possible in Saturday afternoon through the evening. However, chance of showers reduce later into the evening to only 40%. Celsius temperatures around the lower-teens are forecasted with west wind between 15-25 kilometers per hour.
